Introduction to Riding for Teens and Adults

Interested in learning to ride a horse, but don’t have the time to commit to a full scale lesson program? Maybe you’re planning a trial ride on vacation, or want to know how to stay safe when your friends say “hop on, let’s ride!”

DreamCatchers has the perfect program for you! Our Introduction to Safe Riding takes place in our arena (indoor or outdoor options, weather permitting) and is a 4-session program that teaches you how to halter, safely lead, groom, and tack a horse. You’ll have an opportunity to learn to mount and dismount safely and ride in walk and trot gaits. This 4-lesson opportunity is available for adults and teens who are at least 13 years old.

Please complete our application if you are interested in this fun program.

It is important to note that our programs are designed for teens and adults only. Participants must be 13 or older with no exceptions. Referrals are available for youth under 13.  We are not a traditional riding lesson program, key elements of emotional support are incorporated into all DreamCatchers sessions including grounding, mindfulness, breathing exercises and staying in the present moment.
